Objective To study the relationship between CS2 exposure and renal dysfunction. Methods Urine protein values were analyzed in the shop for air concentration, exposure time, and exposure to 180 workers exposed to carbon disulfide (CS2) and 90 workers without CS2 (control group). Results The urinary β2microglobulin (β2MG) and albumin (ALB) levels of workers exposed to CS2 were significantly higher than those of the control group, and increased with CS2 exposure and prolonged service life. Conclusion Long-term exposure to a certain concentration of CS2 can cause mixed injury of renal tubules and glomeruli in workers. Β2-MG and ALB can be used as early monitoring indicators of chronic CS2 renal injury.
