由原化工部行业指导司和中国化工信息中心共同完成的化工外商投资企业数据库于1998年上网提供咨询服务。 化工外商投资企业数据库汇集了1982～1996年底国家和地方审批机关批准兴建的化工外商投资企业8000余个,是迄今化工行业收集信息最全的化工外商投资企业数据库之一。该数据库的主要内容包括外商投资企业名称、批准日期、中方和外方投资方企业、生产经营范围、总投资和外方投资额等,对于进行化工外商投资企业管理、研究了解外商投资情况以及开展商贸业务等都有一定参考价值。
