湖北省常年小麦种植面积达2000万亩左右,其中约占三分之一的面积受着不同程度的湿害影响,尤其是江汉平原,沿江滨湖地区,湿害的发生更为严重,已成为小麦产量不稳的重要因素,同时也阻碍着我省麦—稻—稻三熟制面积的扩大。而过去对利用小麦品种改良的途径,选育利用耐湿品种防御湿害的研究尚不多见。据报道,小麦孕穗期对水分反应最为敏感。据此,我们连续三年开展了耐湿性鉴定研究(系承担国家“七五”重点攻关题目之一)。为南方多雨、多湿地区小麦育种提供耐湿种质资源和资料,为新品种推广利用提供有关依据。
