美国包装工业发达,包装材料、包装容器和包装机器的产量均占世界首位。美国包装工业近十多年、特别是七十年代有较大发展。以包装材料和包装容器生产为例,一九七○年产值为190.89亿美元,一九八○年猛增至458.59亿美元。在一九七九年—一九八○年期间,包装材料和容器的产值增加了35.4亿美元,年增长率达8.4％。
The United States has developed the packaging industry, packaging materials, packaging containers and packaging machines are the world’s first production. The United States packaging industry nearly a decade, especially the seventies have greater development. Taking the production of packaging materials and packaging containers as an example, the output value in 1970 was 19,089 million U.S. dollars and the figure in 1980 soared to 45,859 billion U.S. dollars. Between 1979 and 1980, the output value of packaging materials and containers increased by 3.54 billion U.S. dollars, representing an annual growth rate of 8.4%.
