在陕西省博物馆的石刻艺术展室内,有一尊北魏皇兴年间所造的弥勒佛像,高86、宽55厘米。由于它的背面刻有精美的故事画面,曾多次引起学者们的兴趣。造像分正背两面雕刻而成:正面雕一身交脚弥勒的佛像;背部较为平整,向中部略鼓,呈一尖拱舟形,表面刻有故事画面及发愿文题记。笔者拟就造像的年代、风格与题材作一些考释。造像年代: 在造像背部下方,刻有一方发愿题记,共廿行,行间以细阴刻线相隔,为魏体字,又略带有汉隶风格。文中有:“遂于大代皇……/次辛亥为亡父母并…/劫诸师现考眷属敬造弥勒/像一区”。发愿人已不清按“皇”后一字应为“兴”字,在北魏皇兴
In the Shaanxi Provincial Museum of stone art exhibition room, there is a Maitreya Buddha created during the Northern Wei Dynasty Huangxing, 86 high and 55 cm wide. Because of its back engraved with exquisite story screen, has aroused many scholars’ interest. The statues are carved from the front and the back. The front carves a statue of Buddha that gives a medal to Maitreya. The back is relatively flat and slightly curved toward the middle, showing a sharp arch boat. I would like to make the image of the era, style and theme for some test. The age of statues: In the back of the statues below, engraved with a vow of inscription, a total of twenty lines, separated by thin lines between Yin and Wei, with a slightly Han-style. The text is: “Then in the Grand Emperor ... ... / times Xinhai for the death of parents and ... / hijacking teachers are dependents to pay tribute to Maitreya / like a district.” The vower has been unclear press “Huang” after the word should be “Xing” word in the Northern Wei Huang Xing
