Very large scale integrated circuits (VLSD) are subject to a number of cable constraints, thus determining the ultimate performance. Understanding the physical properties of these factors is important for the development of integrated circuits. As shown in Figure 22, these constraints can be divided into five levels: (1) Base Limits; (2) Material Limits; (3) Device Limits; (4) Circuit Limits and (5) System Limits.
