在美国导演马摩里安拍摄出世界上第一部彩色故事片《浮华世界》的71年后,斯皮尔伯格来到张艺谋的身边,亲口对他说“:不用字幕,只用颜色,我就能看懂你的电影。”这句恭维之言乍听起来不疼不痒,殊不知对于71年前那个连有声电影人们都听不习惯的年代来说,这已经是一个翻天覆地的观念变化了。大师塔可夫斯基,就曾对色彩极其怀疑,认为电影只应是光和影的奇迹。但同样是大师,浓油重墨的黑泽明想来就未必会同意这个论断。没有那个踽踽独行的红衣女孩,只有光和影的《辛德勒的名单》就会丧失大半痛击人心的力量。没有那一段填充了色彩的死后所见,只有光和影的《鬼子来了》也不会让人如此愤怒和悲哀……其实最重要的一点人人都可想到,如果电影失去色彩,那么自诩可以为我们制造梦想、创造梦幻的电影还能否满足我们斑斓的内心?答案是显而易见的。对于电影,大多数的我们毕竟会承认,自己始终都是一个“好色之徒”。
