Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy and quality of life of traditional Chinese and western medicine in treating children with nephrotic syndrome (NS). Methods: 120 children were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, respectively, using Western and Western medical treatment programs. The laboratory test parameters and clinical symptom scores and quality of life questionnaire score as an indicator to observe the clinical efficacy and quality of life of children. Results: (1) Efficacy of the disease: The total effective rate was 93.33% in the treatment group and 83.33% in the control group, with statistical significance (P <0.05). (2) Before and after treatment, the main symptoms of the treatment group and the control group were improved, the points were reduced, (P <0.05) were significantly different. Compared with the control group, the treatment group and the control group had similar curative effect in improving edema (P = 0.241> 0.05), and the treatment group was superior to the control group in the treatment of proteinuria, hematuria, plasma albumin and cholesterol P <0.05) had significant difference. (3) There was no significant difference in the quality of life scores between the two groups before treatment (P> 0.05). The quality of life after treatment: Z = -4.342, P = 0.036 <0.05, in improving the quality of life, the treatment group than the control group. Conclusion: The treatment of nephrotic syndrome with traditional Chinese and western medicine is more effective than pure western medicine group in improving the quality of life of children with western medicine treatment group.
