加强科技史教学,对学生进行辩证唯物主义教育和爱国主义教育,陶冶学生品质情操,是历史教师义不容辞的职责。五十年代初,为了鼓励学生向科学进军,我国曾强调中学教学必须结合课文讲点科技史知识。今天“教育要面向现代化,面向世界,面向未来”,更要加强科技史教学。但是,讲好科技史并非易事。由于其内容涉及许多科学领域,含有许多概念、术语,初一初二学生难于理解;又由于过去大专院校几乎不设科技史课程,尽管中学历史教材仅涉及科技史中的很少一部分,但已给历史教师带来许多困难。因此教师有必要通过各种途径自修科技史课程,同时利用丰富的科技史内容,系统地对学生进行爱国主义教育,通过讲授我国历史上的科技成就及其对世界科学技术的影响,激发学生爱国之情,增强民族自豪感和自信心;通过讲授历史上有成就的科学家的爱国为民等崇高品质,帮助学生树立报国之志。我体会可以从三个方面来完成这个任务:
Strengthening the teaching of history of science and technology, carrying out dialectical materialism education and patriotism education for students, and cultivating the students’ sentimental qualities are historical teachers’ unshirkable responsibilities. In the early 1950s, in order to encourage students to march to science, our country had emphasized that middle school teaching must combine the text with the knowledge of science and technology history. Today, “education must face modernization, face the world, and face the future”, and we must strengthen the teaching of history of science and technology. However, speaking history of science and technology is not easy. Because its content involves many fields of science, it contains many concepts and terminology. It is difficult for the first-year and second-year students to understand. In the past, colleges and universities did not have courses in science and technology history. Although the history textbook for middle schools only involved a small part of the history of science and technology, History teachers have brought many difficulties. Therefore, it is necessary for teachers to study the history of science and technology through various channels. At the same time, they use rich content of science and technology history to systematically educate students on patriotism. Through lectures on the scientific and technological achievements in the history of our country and their impact on the world’s science and technology, students’ patriotism is stimulated. The situation enhances the sense of national pride and self-confidence; it helps students build aspirations to serve the nation by teaching the noble qualities of the patriotic people who have achieved achievements in history. My experience can accomplish this task from three aspects:
