林启寿教授编著的《中草药成分化学》一书,已于1977年5月出版,全书近130万字,共15章,对蛋白质、脂类、糖、有机酸、甙类、挥发油、生物碱等进行了全面的论述;书后附有中草药名词索引,中草药拉丁名索引、中草药化学成分英汉名词索引。它是我国目前第一部有关中草药化学方面较系统和完整的药学著作。该书作者收集了国内外大量的资料,综合论述了中草药成分的化学及新发展,并介绍了一些外国植物药成分化学的新动态,以及一些中草药主要成分的结构、生物活性等,为发掘祖国医药学的宝贵遗产,促进中西医药的结合,创立我国统一的新医学、新药学,提供了宝贵的资料。
The book “Chemistry of Chinese Herbal Medicine,” edited by Prof. Lin Qishou, was published in May 1977. It contains nearly 1.3 million words and 15 chapters. It deals with proteins, lipids, sugars, organic acids, terpenes, volatile oils, and alkaloids. Comprehensive discussion; after the book is attached with the index of Chinese herbal medicine, the Latin name index of Chinese herbal medicine, and the chemical constituents of Chinese herbal medicine are both English and Chinese. It is the first systematic and complete pharmacological work on the chemistry of Chinese herbal medicine in China. The author of the book collected a large amount of domestic and foreign materials, comprehensively discussed the chemistry and new development of Chinese herbal ingredients, and introduced some new trends in the chemical composition of foreign herbal medicines, as well as the structure and biological activity of some major constituents of Chinese herbal medicine, in order to discover the motherland. The valuable legacy of medical science, the promotion of the integration of Chinese and Western medicine, and the creation of a unified new medicine and new pharmacy in China provide valuable information.
