As a representative of Arthur Miller, the ”Death of a Salesman“ has long been recognized as an allegory of ”revealing the ills of the American dream.“ It questioned the fact that the American dream can hardly be achieved in the context of the consumerism era. In pursuit of happiness, the realization of their own American dream process, the hero Willie is a typical tragic figure.
