《蝴蝶》是当代英国著名小说家伊恩·麦克尤恩的短篇小说。伊恩·麦克尤恩擅长应用哥特式写作手法,创造出短小精悍、震撼人心的作品。在《蝴蝶》中,作者刻画哥特气息的场景、塑造哥特式人物以及构建哥特式主题,从而彰显“暗恐”的艺术效果。分析和探究《蝴蝶》文本中哥特式书写所创造的“暗恐”的情景,对于更好的阐释作品中对于现代社会中人类对于“异己”的排斥的毁灭性后果以及人内心的焦虑、欲望和精神创伤的根源等问题的关注和探寻具有深远的意义。
Butterfly is a short story by Ian McEwan, a famous contemporary English novelist. Ian McEwan is good at applying gothic writing techniques to create short, powerful and stirring works. In Butterflies, the author portrays Gothic atmosphere, shapes Gothic characters and constructs Gothic themes, thus demonstrating the artistic effect of “fear of terror.” The analysis and exploration of the “fear of terror” situation created by Gothic writing in the “Butterfly” text will provide a better explanation of the destructive consequences of the exclusion of human beings from being “alienated” in modern society and of the human Attention and exploration of such issues as anxiety, desire and the root causes of trauma have far-reaching significance.
