随着监控技术的发展和市场需求,要求地面监测点在几百个甚至上千个,这不仅要保证职能部门的管理员能在第一时间掌握实时的、清晰的高品质视频图像,而且要实现低廉价格的经济投入。基于以上要求,光纤线路资源紧张的问题更加凸显,在城市功能日趋强大和复杂的今天,重新敷设光纤不仅成本非常高昂,同时各方关系的协调更是困难重重。我们该如何解决上述问题呢?为解决这一问题,充分发挥光纤的带宽优势、解决光纤资源紧张、提高网络的健壮性,电信运营商选择了PON(无源光网络)。不过,在运营商的PON网络中,通常是传输以太网信号,如果是要承载监控视频的话,也只能传输低带宽的压缩视频信号,无法保证视频质量。而本次博览会推出的VPON技术在非压缩视频传输中的应用,无疑为监控视频接入提供了全新技术模式。
