在我国辉光离子氮化工艺应用于生产已有十几年了。同应用最普遍的气体氮化相比,辉光离子氮化具有氮化速度快、能源消耗少,氮化质量高、工件变形小等优点;但其缺点是所用设备比较复杂,操作也比较麻烦,特别是工件上的孔、槽的屏蔽问题有待于解决。根据国内有关文献介绍采用金属屏蔽的方法,即φ1~φ4毫米的孔、槽容易引起弧光放电;φ4~φ10毫米的孔、槽容易引起温度严重不均匀,造成局部温度过高,应该用钢板屏蔽,或用销子螺钉堵住。
