在城市形态和工业结构日新月异的当下,工业历史建筑在城市中的机能在发生改变,其所承载的原初功能逐渐丧失,具有的意义在发生改变,使用者的更迭也让相应的情感价值在逐渐淡化。上海的老厂房多数也面临着这样的困境,它们或被置之不理、拆除夷平;或改造为各种创意工业区。而世博历史建筑却会因“大事件”提供的资本与政策的契机而具有了不同的可能。本文以上海2010年世博会这一“大事件”为切入点,首先,通过讨论中国与欧洲“新都市主义”背景下产生的“大事件”的迥异,分析出中国“大事件”的特征及运作规律;其次,一方面通过对“大事件”的决策方、组织方、操作方和参与方各自的需求,分析出他们对于“事件发生地”——工业历史建筑的各种价值的预期值,另一方面,从规划层面和设计层面对大事件的影响进行分析;最后,对于因为“大事件”而受影响的历史建筑保护策略的得失以批判性眼光进行阐释。
