樟树是我国南方的一种贵重用材和芳香油树种。1964年我所进行了大面积同一立地条件下不同密度(4×4、6×6、8×8、10×10、12×12尺)的植苗造林实验。经过了2年的观察,发现以4×4尺的生长最好,树木主干明显,生势旺盛;相反造林密度越小,生长越差,主干不明显,弯弯曲曲,生势也差(见表)。为了保证樟树造林后的成林成材,我们认为应采
Camphor tree is a valuable timber and aromatic oil tree species in southern China. In 1964 I carried out a large area under the same site conditions of different density (4 × 4,6 × 6,8 × 8,10 × 10,12 × 12 feet) of plantation afforestation experiment. After 2 years of observation, it was found that 4 × 4 feet of the best growth, the tree trunk obvious, strong potential growth; the contrary, the smaller the density of afforestation, the worse the growth, the trunk is not obvious, twists and turns, the potential is also poor (see table).
