Objective To understand the status and existing problems of self blood glucose monitoring in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus treated with insulin-treated glycosylated hemoglobin> 7.5%, so as to provide a theoretical basis for helping patients to establish healthy behaviors. Methods A total of 128 hospitalized patients who met the inclusion criteria from December 2008 to February 2011 were surveyed. The survey included patient general information, glycemic control, self-monitoring knowledge and skills. Results A total of 128 questionnaires were distributed and 128 were returned, of which 122 were valid. Diabetic patients with a single channel of knowledge of self-monitoring of blood glucose, and lack of relevant knowledge; can not develop a correct self-monitoring program of blood glucose can not be correctly recorded and reported test results; blood glucose testing is not correct, the detection frequency of less than the standard requirements. Conclusion Self-monitoring status of type 2 diabetic patients receiving insulin therapy is not optimistic, and patients lack self-monitoring behavior. To this end, improve the level of health education of patients with diabetes to help establish and maintain healthy behavior, diabetes education is the focus and challenge.
