The U.S. Air Force plans to continue its study of voice commands and pre-alarm systems used to maneuver specific aircraft airborne sensors and flight controls within the cockpits of military aircraft in fiscal year 1984-1985. The first phase of the flight test carried out prior to that showed that the voice control system was working properly even when the driver’s acceleration was 5g. The study of the use of voice commands and warnings in military aircraft cockpits was initiated by the Aerodynamics and Bioengineering Division of the Aerospace Medical Research Laboratory at the U.S. Air Force and the Flight Control Division of the Flight Dynamics Laboratory
