1 OverviewrnGlioma is originated in the glial cells in the brain tumor. Gliomas account for the great majority of primary tumors that arise within the brain parenchyma. The termglioma refers to tumors that have histologic features similar to normal glial cells. The World Health Organi-zation (WHO) classification of glioma divided into the central nervous system tumor grades Ⅰ— Ⅳ. The slow-er-growing lesions, corresponding to WHO grades Ⅰand Ⅱ, have been commonly referred to as low-grade gliomas, while the grades Ⅲ and Ⅳ tumors are referred to as high-grade gliomas. This guideline mainly refer to diagnosis and treatment of low and high-grade gliomas originated from astrocytes, oligodendrocytes and ependy-mal cells.
