中国美术学院教授、设计师何见平曾在德国柏林艺术大学留学5年,并在该校任教8年。在采访中,何见平围绕个人求学工作经历、他所接触过的德国设计教师与设计师,并结合第二次世界大战后德国平面设计史,评述了现代德国平面设计与设计教育的重要特征。何见平认为,在继承包豪斯精神的同时,德国形成了适应社会需求、强调科技融合与偏重艺术表现兼备的设计及教育理念。在柏林墙倒塌之前,德国设计的民族性可以描述为“对永恒、安全、实用的艺术化追求”;柏林墙倒塌之后,德国设计的国际化程度提高,呈现更为多元的风貌。对中国而言,德国设计注重本国设计历史的整理研究,是其设计发展经验中尤为值得借鉴之处。
He Jianping, professor and designer of China Academy of Art, studied for 5 years at Berlin University of the Arts in Germany and taught for 8 years at the university. During the interview, He Juping commented on the important characteristics of graphic design and design education in modern Germany based on his personal study experience, the German design teachers and designers he has contacted, and the history of graphic design in Germany after the Second World War. He Jianping believes that while inheriting the spirit of Bauhaus, Germany has formed a design and education philosophy that meets the needs of society and emphasizes the integration of science and technology and the emphasis on artistic performance. Before the collapse of the Berlin Wall, the national character of Germany’s design could be described as “the pursuit of eternal, safe and practical artistry.” After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the degree of internationalization of German design was enhanced and a more diverse outlook emerged. For China, the German design focuses on the study of the design history of the country, is its design and development experience is particularly worth learning.
