《家》的法译本问世已两年多了。作为汉语教员兼翻译工作者的我以莫大愉快的心情读了不止一次,而且常置于手边参考。此书问世不久即成为畅销书:其初版于1979年春由艾贝尔(Eibel)和弗拉马利永(Flammarion)两家出版社合作印行后,同年冬天就有法国消闲社(France Loisir)印出了一批精装本。1981年春天阿赛特(Hachette)出版社又印了大量的袖珍本。法语读者们确是十分幸运的,靠了这部译著,他们能深切地认识到遥远的中国那并不太遥远的一段时期,体会到那段历史中的一些人的喜怒哀乐,在那半殖民地半封建的社会里,在当时“命运”的魔爪下,无论是奋斗挣扎者或是顺受妥协者,他们经常是泪水多于笑颜的!读后让人心惊,也让人们悲痛!
