Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is not an uncommon cardiac disease now,it was reported that the prevalence of HCM is 0.18% in Chinese at present .Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy ( HOCM) is a subset of HCM with left ventricular outflow tract ( LVOT) obstruction.Majority of case reports have focused on anesthetic management of HOCM in children and parturients, either combined spinal and epidural (CSE) or general anesthesia selected.But there were existing debates about anesthetic methods used, some authors regarded spinal or epidural anesthesia as contraindicated for the sake of lowering afterload, some authors believed that the serious problems could occur during general anesthesia.
