美国1912年至1922年开展的新诗运动,在美国诗歌历史上甚至世界诗歌历史上都产生了重要的影响,它给美国诗坛带来了崭新的面貌。而改革开放之后,中国与外国文化交流频繁,在开放的当代,如何借鉴外来文化和把握民族文化便显得尤为重要。虽然新诗运动距离现在已经有大半个世纪,但意象派诗人的诗歌理论和具体创作仍旧有重要的研究价值。意象派诗人的艺术成就和对外来文化的借鉴经验也非常值得我们学习和参考。本文试从三个层面出发,分别就意象的呈现方式、意象的主观表达及读者的主观感受和意象的选取加以讨论。意象的呈现方式试从意象的外在表现角度分析,意象的主观表达及读者的主观感受是试从心理角度出发分析其特点,前两个特点又直接影响了第三个特点“意象的具体选取”。从纵向来看,这三个特点体现在作者的创作和读者的再创作两个过程,把这两个互相影响的过程联系起来看问题,力图准确把握诗歌中意象的特点。
The New Poetry Movement carried out by the United States between 1912 and 1922 had an important influence in the history of American poetry and even in the history of world poetry. It brought a brand new appearance to American poetry. After the reform and opening up, China and foreign countries have had frequent cultural exchanges. In the contemporary era of openness, it is especially important to learn from foreign cultures and grasp the national culture. Although the movement of new poetry has been for more than half a century now, the poetry theory and the concrete creation of the imagist poets still have important research value. The artistic achievements of the imagist poets and the experience of borrowing foreign cultures are also very worthy of our study and reference. This article tries to discuss from three levels, respectively, on the way the image is presented, the subjective expression of the image and the audience’s subjective feelings and image selection. The way of presenting the image is from the perspective of the external representation of the image. The subjective expression of the image and the subjective feeling of the reader try to analyze their characteristics from the psychological point of view. The first two characteristics have a direct impact on the third characteristic Select ". From a longitudinal perspective, these three characteristics are reflected in the two processes of author’s creation and re-creation of readers. They relate these two mutually influential processes to problems and try to grasp accurately the characteristics of images in poetry.
