２００１年５月，江泽民总书记在中共中央政治局候补委员曾庆红、中共江西省委书记孟建柱等领导陪同下，到江西省婺源县视察了江湾的古村落。在总书记视察江湾一周年时，江湾将举行隆重的纪念活动，并建纪念碑。 李俊同志，是徽州文化研究会会员，其所著《江湾》一书，对了解江湾古村落辉煌历史和古人在居住环境建设中讲求“天人合一”的实践，大有裨益。今由其择书中精华，加上亲历采访的感受，撰成此文，以飨读者。
In May 2001, General Secretary Jiang Zemin visited the ancient villages of Jiangwan in Wuyuan County, Jiangxi Province, accompanied by leaders of Zeng Qinghong, alternate member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and Meng Jianzhu, secretary of the CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee. At the first anniversary of General Secretary’s visit to Jiangwan, Jiangwan will hold a grand commemorative event and build a monument.
