王瑶,女,五岁起开始学习摄影,11岁以一张《开学了》获1981年全国好新闻一等奖。中学担任北京市中学生通讯社社长。 1988年在中国人民大学新闻系摄影专业学习,成绩优异。1992年进入中国新闻社。同年赴桂林空难报道,照片获1992年中国新闻奖二等奖。1996年赴美国采访亚特兰大奥运会,成为第一位采访奥运会的女记者,所拍照片获多个专业比赛大奖。1998年派驻中国新闻社香港分社,以一张《特首董建华为香港回归首个赛马日开锣》获中国新闻奖二等奖。同年获“全国十佳摄影记者”称号,成为获此殊荣的第一位女记者。 2000年,她以《60岁舞蹈家重返舞台》组照获世界新闻摄影比赛(WPP)金奖。这是中国记者在“荷赛”系列奖项中的最高奖。同年当选中央国家机关杰出青年。“东方之子”栏目对她进行了采访。
Wang Yao, female, started studying photography at the age of five, and won a first prize of 1981 National Good News at the age of 11 with a “start of the school”.
