The authors retrospectively studied 109 patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) using the same treatment regimen in the same hospital from 1975 to 1979; and analyzed the prognostic significance of the leftward shift of peripheral leukocytes in the diagnosis of the disease. There were 66 males and 43 females, aged 1-15 years old. In this analysis, 61 patients were discontinued, 38 died and 10 were treated (combination chemotherapy and BCG). Left shift is defined as the observation of different people at least 2 times in the peripheral blood of 1% or more of late young, young or young promyelocytic. In the diagnosis of 47 cases found to have left shift, 44 of them showed left 1-3% of the cells
