Objective: To explore the changes of body temperature and pulse of atropine in patients with organophosphorus pesticide poisoning. Methods: The changes of body temperature and pulse rate during the early stage of poisoning and the treatment of atropine were investigated in 53 patients with different degrees of organophosphorus pesticide poisoning. Results: In the early stage of poisoning, the temperature was lower and the pulse rate was faster. The body temperature and pulse rate increased during the atropine treatment. The body temperature increased by 3.8% and the pulse rate increased by 40.5% Peak time after treatment for 12 to 18 hours, then with the amount of atropine decreased, body temperature gradually decreased, 3 to 4 days returned to normal. The atropine overdose body temperature and pulse increase were 11.6% and 49.7%, the peak is not only higher than the non-complication group, but also higher than the concurrent infection group (P <0.05 ~ 0.01). CONCLUSIONS: Atropine products such as a rapid increase in body temperature, a magnitude of> 10.0%, and a pulse increase of more than 45.0% are valuable measures of atropine overdose.
