自从1958年我国果树栽培上开展了全面保花保果的研究以来,果树产量显著增加。尤其在苹果和梨栽培上,通过废除迟疏果的习惯,取得了产量提高而不降低品质的经验,为今后果树生产继续跃进指明了方向。但是,在桃的栽培上,是否应当疏花疏果,直到现在还意见分歧,有的主张一定要疏;有的主张可以不疏;有的主张可疏可不疏,应当根据具体条件具体分析。这里对这个问题提出个人的一些看法,以供讨论。

Especially in the cultivation of apples and pears, through the abolition of the habit of late-fruiting, we have obtained the experience of increasing yield without reducing the quality, which points out the direction for the future fruit tree production to leap forward. However, whether or not flowers should be thinned and fruitless should be given to the cultivation of peaches. Until now, opinions have also been divided. Some advocates must be sparse. Some should not be sparse. Some should be loosely based on specific conditions. Here are some personal opinions on this issue for discussion.
