“生活是大书”是著名作家柯灵先生生前留给我的珍贵题词。 多少年来,我一直爱读柯老的作品,尤其是他的散文。他的散文、讲究辞章,极富文采,真正称得上是美文。报刊杂志上每有他的散文发表,我一定要搜求到手,仔细阅读,反复把玩,深感诵读他的散文是品尝一席盛宴,一种艺术上的高度享受,真正可说是获益匪浅。 1981年初,我由中学调入上海社会科学院文学研究所,从事现代文学研究工作。开始两、三年,我参加了现代文学研究室的集体项目——上海“孤岛”文学研究的工作,接受了编选《上海“孤岛”文学作品选》中散文、报告文学的任务。上海“孤岛”时期,柯灵从事报纸 Life is a Big Book is a precious inscription left to me by famous writer Ke Ling during her lifetime. In the first two or three years, I took part in the collective project of the modern literature research laboratory, the work on Shanghai “island” literature, and accepted the task of composing the essay and reportage in “Isolated Island Literature Selection” of Shanghai.
