中国专门培养和训练教师的师范教育机构,时至19世纪末20世纪初才见端倪。从民国初期师范学校音乐教育制度的确立到具体实施,基本上建立起了中等师范学校的普通音乐教育和专业音乐教育体系的雏形,并积累了一定的师范音乐教育的实践经验,使后来的师范音乐教育在此基础上能够不断地得到发展与完善。
