校长必须重视教学质量,因为教学是中心工作。对于普通高中而言,校长不抓好教学质量,意味着不抓好升学率,意味着不能很好地实现普通高中的重要任务。只有抓好教学质量,在此基础上,才能去推进课程改革,打造办学特色,促进学生个性发展。所以校长的领导力必须着力于领导教学质量的提升。前苏联著名教育家苏霍姆林斯基指出“校长对学校的领导,首先是教育思想的领导,业务上的领导,其次才是行政管理”。教育思想的领导就是指在价值观上的领导,也就是道德领导;业务上的领导就是指在专业上的领导,也就是专业权威领导;行政管理就是通过等级制度,学校的规则与规章,学校的考核制度,教学工作的标准化要求来实现对教学工作的领导,也就是传统的行政领导。

Sukhomlinski, a famous educator in the former Soviet Union, pointed out: “The principal’s leadership over the school is, first of all, the leadership of education, the leadership of business, and the second is the administration.” Leadership in education refers to the leadership in values, that is, moral leadership; business leadership refers to the professional leadership, which is the authority of the professional leadership; administration is through the hierarchy, the rules and regulations of the school, the school’s Assessment system, the standardization of teaching work to achieve the leadership of the teaching work, that is, the traditional administrative leadership.
