泽州县西山联营煤矿隶属于大东沟镇政府,于1996年4月动工筹建, 1998年12月经上级主管部门验收后简易投产,共完成基建投资1600多万元,矿井井田面积2．128平方公里,3号煤层现保有可采储量838．2万吨。矿井年设计采煤能力2001年核定为15万吨。开采3号无烟煤,煤质优良,煤炭品种分为5个品种,预计年销售收入可达到3000万元以上,上缴利税1200万元以上。西山联营煤矿在总支部书记兼矿长李军壁领导下,坚持树立“安全为天”的思想,几年来安全状况良好,得到了上级主管部门的好评。全矿400余名干部职工高举邓小平理论伟大旗帜,坚持科学发展观,顽强拼搏,开拓创新, 为振兴大东沟经济, 实现企业腾飞做出了贡献,近两年先后获得泽州县“先进企业”、“红旗基层党组织”等称号。
