古今中外,恐怕任何社会都希望它的成员按其性别行事,即在言行举止、待人接物、生活习惯和工作作风等等方面符合自己的性别——男的像男的,女的像女的。如果违反这个规律,就不容易为社会所接受。举个小的例子来说,女孩子突然接触到一个毛毛虫,会吓得尖声喊叫,人们对她的表现并不见怪;假若男孩子有此表现,大家就会骂他胆小鬼,没出息。因为社会上一般已认定男性应具有阳刚之气;女性则以文静、温和为美德。让孩子的心理发展和行为表现符合其性别,这一点具有重大的意义。因为这是以后适应社会、特别是适应将来从事的职业活动,以及恋爱、婚姻和家庭生活的重要条件之一。但在目前,我们一般的家庭还不大重视教育中的性别因素。有些父母出于“好玩”或其他原因,把自己的男孩子当女孩子对待;或者把女孩当男孩子对待,以致形成教育中的性别“错位”,从而影响孩子的健康成长,并给其生活带
