玉米自交系8001是莱州市农科院玉米所用同源于8112×5003二环系的两个非姊妹系组配的一个姊妹种自交系,是经该院玉米所多次反复筛选试验取得的一项新的科研成果。1994年引进自交系8001制种,繁育掖单13号(8001×丹340)玉米杂交种,取得一些经验。 1.制种产量高、效益好。我县用8001和478做母本,选择两个土壤肥力基本相同的隔离区内繁育掖单13号,做对比试验。在遭受生长前期严重干旱,生长后期严重洪涝的自然灾害下,用478的平均亩产213斤,而用8001的平均亩产309斤,平均亩增产96斤,增产率45%,亩制种田增加效益336元。
