不少EFL/FSL教师的培训者在工作中,甚至在本人做学生时,都曾有过不喜欢应用语言学这门必修课的经历。本文就是为他们而写的。学生不喜欢这门课,这就白白浪费了教师和学生的时间与精力。而其最大的害处就在于这种情况造成了好几代语言教师缺乏应用语言学领域的知识。其实这方面的知识本应是他们经常得到力量和帮助的源泉。某些专家(Corder 1986)可能觉得我这种看法过于保守了。但是我仍然认为对于培训不以英语为母语的英语教师来说,关于语言和语言学习的知识依然起着至关重要的作用。关键在于我们必须设计出许多方法,蓝制订出步骤去体现语言学可以解决教学中
Many EFL / FSL teacher trainers experience having dislike of compulsory applied linguistics at work, even as a student. This article is written for them. Students do not like this course, which is a waste of teachers and students time and energy. And its biggest disadvantage is that this situation has led to generations of language teachers lacking knowledge in the field of applied linguistics. In fact, knowledge in this area should be the source of their regular strength and help. Some experts (Corder 1986) may think I’m overly conservative. However, I still think that knowledge of language and language learning still plays a crucial role in training English teachers who are not native speakers of English.
