One of the series of articles on “reading in primary school and secondary school reading” is in the process of decline! The last reading of World Book News broke the news: In the past six years, the reading rate of our national books has dropped from 60.4% in 1999 to 2005 48.7% of the year. The accelerating pace of life and the growth of online reading rate squeezed the living space of written reading. Written reading really can be replaced? Experts point out that the greatest feature of the written reading is reading the standard “written language” as a standard form of language writing, not only strict logic and text, concise and concise use of the word sentence features , Can build a higher level of cultural atmosphere, to show the rational style. Therefore, written language is widely used in print media and becomes the main carrier of continuation of culture, history and spirit. Contrary to the “fast reading” and “light reading” of online reading, written language is consciously and unconsciously constructing the symbolic and speculative world. And this feature for growing primary and secondary students, it is particularly important. What is the reason behind the written reading status of primary and secondary school students in Shanghai? What are the factors behind the formation of this situation? In order to explore this issue in depth, we published a large-scale investigation activity, Teachers and students, parents forum, expert interviews, student forums and other forms, “pull the net investigation” and “stripping cocoon spinning” combination to make a systematic study. With a large amount of survey data and opinions of all parties coming out, the outline of this issue has gradually become clear: written reading is surprisingly being excluded from the habits of primary and secondary school students, hobbies and even learning life. The reason for this is not simply “children are wrong,” neglect and neglect by schools, parents and even the entire adult world. The absence of cultural awareness under the rapid development of society is the source of this phenomenon . Not only to reveal the crux of the problem, but also to promote the parties involved in all aspects of their respective roles and work together to promote a reread of written reading. Since the beginning of this issue, we will launch a series of articles entitled “Paying Attention to Reading in Primary and Secondary Schools” Please pay attention.
