从母亲那里学到善良,从父亲那里学到勤劳,从祖父那里学到耐性。——侗族俗语广西、湖南、贵州三省交界之地的侗族有一种独特的成年礼仪式,一个人一生要滚三次烂泥巴,一次是5岁,一次是10岁,一次是15岁。每个侗族人在5岁时就由母亲把孩子领到田边,由父亲在田坝那边接着,意思是让孩子跟父辈初步养成爱劳动的习惯。到10岁时,则由父亲把他领到田边,由祖父在田坝那边接着(没有祖父则请寨里德高望重的老人),意思是要向祖父学习和锻炼意志,培养耐心。到了15岁时则由祖父把他带到田边,对面田坝上没人接,意思是从这时起,你已长大成人了,需要自己去体味人间的艰辛,闯出一条自己的生活道路。
