Qing dynasty poet Shen Deqian summarizes the features of Cao Pi’s poems with “Wei Xiang” and confronts his father Cao Cao’s “Han Yin”. Through the analysis and study of Cao Pi’s specific works, this paper points out that the connotation of the so-called “Wei Xiang” generally includes three aspects: First, to abandon the utilitarian purpose of utilitarianism and political ethics, and basically to meet the aesthetic needs of oneself ; The second is to weaken the narrative, focusing on lyrical, and often express the sorrow associated with universal life experience; third is the pursuit of algae decoration, words tend to gorgeous. There are several exceptions to Cao Pi’s work, but the exception shows exactly what he does. Chinese literary lyrics mostly follow the path of “Wei Xiang”.
