Mountain glaciers are indispensable suppliers of freshwater for human sustenance in extensive cold and arid areas of the world [1-3].However,due to pronounced climate change over the last dec-ades,the vast majority of the world\'s mountains have seen a rapid shrinking of glaciers with profound impacts on streamflow regimes of the mountains themselves,as well as downstream areas [4-6].A wealth of studies have investigated the responses of glacier runoff to climate change and their impacts on streamflow at different scales, including single-glacier,glacierized mountain range, basin, regional, and even global scales [6-11].

Despite their rich information content, electronic structure data amassed at high volumes in ab initio molecular dynamics simulations are generally under-utilized.We introduce a transferable high-fidelity neural network representation of such data in the f
A wide array of biological events in the life history of insects are orchestrated by juvenile hormone (JH) and 20-hydroxyecdysone(20E) [1].They control embryonic development,molting,meta-morphosis,and reproduction. Some processes are governed by one of the
In each cell, various components/organelles (including mem-branous and non-membranous organelles) assemble at the proper time and space to function. How organelles lacking a membrane form and the physicochemical natures of such organelles remain unknown.Rec
Strain engineering is a promising method for tuning the electronic properties of two-dimensional (2D)materials,which are capable of sustaining enormous strain thanks to their atomic thinness. However, applying a large and homogeneous strain on these 2D mate
Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) encompasses a spectrum of pathologies, ranging from steatosis to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).The factors promoting the progression of steatosis to NASH are still unclear.Recent studies suggest that mitochond
SnS has been extensively investigated as a potential anode material in potassium-ion batteries (PIBs) for its high theoretical capacity.Nonetheless,it suffers a limited cyclic lifespan owing to its poor electronic conductivity and huge volume expansion.Th
Higher-order topological insulators (HOTIs),with topological corner or hinge states, have emerged as a thriving topic in the field of topological physics. However, few connections have been found for HOTIs with well-explored first-order topological insulator
Exotic quantum phenomena may appear in material systems with multiple orders or phases, where the mutual interactions can give rise to new physics beyond that of each component. Here,we report spec-troscopic evidence for a unique combination of topology and
Coupled with anionic and cationic redox chemistry,Li-rich/excess cathode materials are prospective high-energy-density candidates for the next-generation Li-ion batteries. However, irreversible lattice oxygen loss would exacerbate irreversible transition me
