March 20 last year, the United States began to carry out a military strike entitled “Iraqi Freedom”. Although as early as May 1 last year, U.S. President Bush announced on the “Lincoln” aircraft carrier that major combat operations in Iraq have ended. But as of today, U.S. casualties in Iraq are still on the rise. As of October 13 this year, the U.S. military has killed 1072 people in Iraq and was the largest casualty in the war after the Vietnam War. The number of casualties, the price paid is beyond the expectations of many people. What exactly led to the U.S. military being slaughtered in Iraq for 12 years, which was sanctioned by the United Nations? What were the mistakes that made the U.S. military in Iraq “such as riding a tiger?” With these questions, we interviewed the National Defense University Experts, professors and several doctoral students to explore this issue, is now sorted out to readers. --editor
