北京市东城区171中学岳春生老师1995年8月6日上午在赫章一中上了一堂别开生面的作文课: 岳老师先让一个学生自告奋勇地复述前节课学习的《记王忠肃公翱事》一文的第一段。在全班学生都熟悉课文内容的基础上,岳老师让学生抓住原文中“女寄言于母”一句,要求学生代其女给母写一封信,目的是让其夫调京任官。岳老师调动学生回忆写信的格式、称谓,分析要求调京任官的理由后,要求学生联系原文,并通过合理想象,用得体的语言,在15分钟内写一封300——500字的信。学生写完后,老师从面上看看,又让同桌交换看,然后分别采取自报、小组推荐和老师指定的方式从全班学生中抽九人上讲台朗读自己写的信。学生朗读完后,又从各小组各抽一个学生谈听后的感受。老师简单总评后归纳写这封信要“动之以情,晓之以理”。忽然有位高个子学生大声说:“我认为这纯属不正之风,因此不该写这封信。”岳老师不慌不忙地笑着回答:“这个问题提得好,说明这位同学的觉悟比我的高,他的认识已经上升到一定的思想高度,课文中的忠肃公就是反对这种做法的。现在请大家联系课文内容,进行合理想象,把王(?)在朝房里的内心活动写出来。”
