It was no coincidence that I wrote this comedy out of my admiration for science and the legendary couple, and it was not unusual. What is real is my own very determined intention. I was shocked to observe that what people had left in the past to this lover’s life was just a bleak picture: such half-dead, serious and ascetic are finding radioactive elements in a closed but toxic shed from the world. Similarly, let us think that the enthusiasm of their research has nothing to do with international competition and top-level pressure. It is by no means a sign of respect for them. It is a kind of betrayal that leaves them outside the times and from humankind. Trying to make the nature of their scientific struggle more approachable and comprehensible is an interesting challenge for me. “Curie couple” this drama in the scientific and historical aspects
