“A ghost, a ghost of communism, wandering in Europe ...” In February 1848, the publication of the “Communist Manifesto” was like a flash of lightning in the vast dark night that shone upon the long history of mankind. In the new edition of The Biography of Marnley, a version of the Communist Manifesto was published in various languages, of which the first Chinese translation translated by Chen Wangdao was particularly noticeable. Before and after the May Fourth Movement, the New Culture Movement emerged on the ground of China. Some progressive newspapers began to introduce the “Communist Manifesto,” but only translated some chapters or sections. There is no complete Chinese translation of the “Manifesto of the Communist Party”. According to the new edition of “Biography of Marn”, editor in chief of Chongqing Publishing Group, will not be introduced. At that time, Chen Wangdao took up this important task in history.
