作业批改是教学必不可少的基本环节之一,是课堂教学的继续和巩固。教师常常通过设置适量作业来检查学生对所学语言的掌握和运用情况。
1. 摘录作业中普遍性和典型性的错误
教师在批改作业时可总结出学生作业中出现的普遍性和典型性错误,并在课堂上集中讲解。
句1他向来对历史感兴趣。
[学生误译] He always be interested in history.(汉语式语序,语域混乱)
给出同类例句,学生仿写
[例句1] 他总是专心致志地学习。 He is always absorbed in study.(学生译文)
[例句2] 汤姆经常受到老师表扬。Tom is often praised by histeacher. (学生译文)
句2我得出结论,他们不赞成这个计划。
[学生误译] I drew a conclusion which they are not in favour of the plan.
(同位语从句与定语从句混淆)

恰如其分的评语会对学生起到激励或鞭策的作用,能增强学生对本学科的求知欲,达到因材施教的目的。例如,根据学生作業的完美程度,可写上:“Good”,“Very good”,“Wonderful”,“Excellent”...;或用句子“I’m very glad you’ve done so well today. I believe you’ll do even better.”如果学生的作业不整洁或出了错误,教师可用:“Please try to write well. Don’t scribble, will you?”“You didn’t do well enough. I hope you’ll do better next time .”“Work harderand you’ll do as well as the others。”如果教师用丰富多彩的英语格言和谚语作尾批,将会起到事半功倍的效果。例如:Well begun is half done.(良好的开端是成功的一半。)Practice makes perfect/Skill comes from practice.(熟能生巧。)An inch is as good as an error.(大错小错,同样是错。)A fall into the pit, a gain in your wit.(吃一堑,长一智。)
