娱乐性是戏剧小品的本质特征,是其立身之本,戏剧小品自发轫之初就含有娱乐性特点,这与其诞生的时代背景、大众审美心理等是密切相关的。20世纪90年代后期开始,戏剧小品一面进入大众狂欢阶段,而另一方面又不得不面对大众的口诛笔伐,表演与口碑双重滑坡,戏剧小品在经历了“娱乐”——“愚乐”——“无乐”之后,呈现衰颓、倒退的状态。而随着各大卫视纷纷打造以喜剧为核心的综艺节目,作为喜剧界的主角——戏剧小品也借此机会再一次重回娱乐性,回归大众视野。
