20世纪80年代出版的《三种文化中的幼儿园》一书揭示了文化对幼儿教育的深刻影响,分析了中、美、日三国学前教育实践中的巨大差异。新近出版的《重访三种文化中的幼儿园》一书进一步揭示了中、美、日三国学前教育20多年来的变化。文化差异对学前教育的影响巨大,因此,试图建立及执行全球通用的幼儿教育课程或质量标准是不合情理的。中国学前教育工作者在引进他国先进教育理念和方法时应三思而行。我们要从寻求更适合自己文化的教育理念和方法出发,融合他人的优点,以创造出我们自己的幼儿教育新理论和新实践。
The book “Kindergarten in Three Cultures” published in the 1980s reveals the profound influence of culture on early childhood education and analyzes the huge differences in the practice of preschool education in China, the United States and Japan. The recently published book Revisiting Kindergarten in Three Cultures further reveals the changes in preschool education in China, the United States and Japan over the past two decades. Cultural differences have a huge impact on pre-primary education, so it is not reasonable to try to establish and implement a global curriculum or quality standard for early childhood education. Preschoolers of education in China should think twice before introducing the concepts and methods of advanced education in other countries. We should start from seeking more suitable educational concepts and methods for our own culture and integrate the advantages of others in order to create our own new theories and practices in early childhood education.
