Dry and wet DC electrolysis plants have different levels of leakage, resulting in stray currents that cause corrosion of underground reinforced concrete structures (for details, see Metallurgical Architecture, 2nd Issue, 1981, pp. 6-10). In the past, the electrical corrosion damage to such underground structures had to be destructively excavated due to the lack of appropriate detection methods. Not only affects the production, but also time-consuming work, but also because of inappropriate selection of excavation site, or even unable to obtain the correct inspection results. In recent years, on the basis of laboratory and field tests, based on the regularity of polarization potential changes of steel bars in alkaline environments, a new inspection has been proposed for the electro-corrosion of the underground structure of a factory building.
