企业社会责任这个概念已经开始演变为一个企业管理中的主流思想。在20世纪90年代这一概念开始引起公众关注的时候,许多公司的反应要么是保持保守态度,要么干脆把它等同于企业的慈善公益,或者认为这不过是换了一个名目的风险管理项目。在过去十年当中,企业逐渐了解到作为社会的一部分具有不可推卸的责任。现在许多企业领导人不仅已经将公司责任和业务战略紧密联合起来,还带领呼吁业界更加积极参与解决社会关注的议题。
The concept of corporate social responsibility has begun to evolve into a mainstream thinking in business management. When the concept started to attract public attention in the 1990s, many companies reacted either conservatively or simply by equating it with corporate philanthropic benefits or thinking of a single name-for-money risk management program. In the past decade, companies have come to realize that they are unshirkable as part of society. Now many business leaders have not only brought their corporate responsibility and business strategy together, but also led the industry to call for more active participation in solving social concerns.
