Due to the solubility of nitrate, its presence in water is very extensive. Its determination in drinking water sanitation and environmental protection is also one of the important projects. In this paper, the use of 2,6-dimethylphenol as a reagent for the determination of NO_3 ~, with mercury sulfate reagent to eliminate the interference of Cl ~ - can tolerate the presence of Cl ~ - in water samples up to 600ppm.
