1, Molybdenum-doped high-strength heavy alloy This is a newly developed high-strength tungsten-based alloy in the United States. The hardness of this alloy is greater than HRC44, can be used as a piercing projectile. From the binary phase diagrams of molybdenum-nickel and molybdenum-iron (omitted), it is clear that the solubility of molybdenum is relatively high at the tungsten-sintering temperature of the heavy alloy liquid and tungsten and molybdenum are completely solidified over the entire alloy composition Soluble. Adding molybdenum to a typical 90W-7Ni-3Fe heavy alloy system creates a unique phenomenon where molybdenum is miscible with both the solid and the matrix, with the result that molybdenum is evenly distributed throughout the tungsten grains and matrix.
